The Qatar Emiri Airforce Calibration Lab has teamed up with Haris Al Afaq to showcase the latest in DC/LF & Temperature Calibration Solutions at IDEX 2005, This 7th International Defence Exhibition and Conference will be held from 12 – 17 February 2005, at the Abu Dhabi International Exhibitions Centre, United Arab Emirates.

12th February 2005, will be the Press day and Conference opening. Exhibition days are 13 - 17 February 2005. The QEAF Stand #2216 is Located in Hall II and we look forward to seeing you there.

This QEAF Calibration facility in Doha is one of the finest in the GCC region and the stand will display the comprehensive range of calibration capabilities offered by the QEAF lab including low/high frequency, temperature, pressure, mass, dimensions and more. The lab has recently extended and enhanced it's calibration capabilities through the provision of comprehensive primary and secondary temperature calibration solutions from Fluke Corporation and Hart Scientific, a Fluke company.

Haris Al Afaq, the Dubai based regional master distributor for Fluke and Hart Scientific, is a supplier of a comprehensive range of PMEL and Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) to the Arabian / Persian Gulf region. Over the past few years, Haris has been providing technical support to the QEAF lab through equipment supply, customised training courses and upgrades and will also be present at the stand.

Some of the products that will be present appear below - click on the links for far more detail.

  • The Fluke 9100 calibrates everything from handheld digital multimeters, thermometers, power meters to high performance digital-storage oscilloscopes. Weighing 18.5 kilos the 9100 is equally at home in the lab or on the field.
  • The 9011 features two independently controlled temperature wells, which makes calibrating RTDs and thermocouples faster than ever from -30 to 670 Deg C.
  • The 5628 is nominally 25.5W Platinum Resistance Thermometer. Having a temperature range of –200°C to 660°C; the 5628 makes great work of checking standards for calibration work up to the aluminum point
  • The Chub-E4 has four inputs for reading four different sensors simultaneously, and we can configure those inputs in any of three different ways according to preference. Choice four channels of thermocouple inputs, four channels of PRT/thermistor inputs, or two channels of each
  • The DewK has two inputs for sensing probes, with each probe measuring both temperature and relative humidity. Both probes can be run via extension cables to remote locations up to 50 feet away, or one probe can be directly mounted to the top of the DewK
  • The 9132 features a large, temperature controlled blackbody target with a diameter of 2.25" (57 mm), which offers a large field of view area for optical variations in infrared thermometers. The emissivity of the isothermal target is set at 0.95 (±0.02%), and the target temperature can be controlled in set-point increments of 0.1° from –30°C to 500°C.
